"All MP’s will be audited." - PM

PM Tsvangirai has sais that the Anti-Corruption Commision will continue auditing and arresting MPs that are found wanting in the use of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Government has been on the rampage over the past few months over the funds which have been given to MPs for the developmet of all  210 constituencies.

According to Nehandaradio.com, three MDC-T legislators, Marvelous Khumalo, Albert Mhlanga and Cleopas Machacha, plus Zanu PF’s MP for Magunje, Franco Ndambakuwa, were all arrested on allegations they had diverted funds from parliament which were meant for development projects in their constituencies.

Where has accountability gone to?

“Corruption is corruption and those who stole CDF money will be arrested even if they are ministers. As government, we have zero tolerance to corruption,” Tsvangirai said while commending Munengami for carrying out the projects in the constituency in a transparent manner.

“Munengami has come out clean and because of this as government we will ensure that the CDF money is increased in order to benefit the people. We want a leadership that is open to criticism and one that serves the people,” the PM said.
Members of Parliament need to get their act together if this country is going to recover economically. We can not have such unaccountable governance at the expense of people’s lives.
